Helping Trauma Survivors Heal Through Faith and Practical Tools + Creating Safer Communities

Hi, I’m Leah Magana — the founder and heart behind Outspoken Christian. After walking through many of my own seasons of survival mode and church hurt, I became passionate about helping others understand their trauma and experience God’s healing. Outspoken Christian exists to give you a path to reclaim your voice, your health, and to make deeper connections in your relationships with trauma-informed tools.

For years, I’ve been passionate about creating resources that combine biblical wisdom with trauma-informed care, so that individuals, parents, and church leaders can better understand how to support nervous system health, emotional recovery, and spiritual growth.

My Story: From Struggle to Calling

Like many of the people I serve, I’ve faced seasons of deep pain, confusion, and survival mode. Through my own journey of healing — guided by faith, counseling, and research into trauma and nervous system regulation — I discovered that the church often lacked practical, compassionate resources for survivors.

Instead of staying silent, I felt called to create a space where:

  • Trauma survivors feel seen and supported rather than shamed.
  • Faith and science work together to restore hope and wholeness.
  • Practical tools are accessible to anyone ready to grow emotionally, spiritually, and relationally.

The Mission of Outspoken Christian

Outspoken Christian exists to equip you with:

  • Free guides, quizzes, and checklists to help you identify survival mode, set boundaries, and process emotions.
  • Trauma-informed strategies to integrate spiritual growth with mental and emotional healing.
  • Resources for churches and leaders to avoid retraumatization and create safe, healing-centered communities.

Whether you’re an individual seeking healing, a parent supporting your kids, or a ministry leader serving others, these tools are designed to empower you toward lasting transformation.

Why It Matters

I believe that healing is both a spiritual and practical process. When we address trauma with compassion and wisdom, we free ourselves to live in the fullness of who God created us to be — and we help others do the same.

This mission is personal. Every guide, quiz, and resource is created with survivors in mind, because I know how important it is to feel safe, equipped, and hopeful again.

Let’s Connect

I’d love to hear from you!

Your healing matters. Your voice matters. Together, we can make the church — and our homes — places of safety and restoration.
